All's quiet on the Southern front these days. Temperatures are still being tracked. I'm still dealing with AF so nothing interesting is happening in the bedroom. I'm still too far away from ovulation to be getting anxious.
It's like the calm before the storm. I can feel it coming but there's nothing to be done right now but order more pregnancy tests off Amazon and wait.
So that's what we're doing. Just marking the days off on the calendar until it's time to rejoin the game.
Also, when I got to the walking trail with my husband this morning (at the crack of dawn) I discovered that I was wearing my pants backward.
That is all.
It's just been that kind of day.

Our Journey So Far
September 1995: Got pregnant by then fiance (later ex-husband) while on BC using condoms. Lovely.
December 1995: Married!
July 1996: DS was born.
October 1998: Divorce. Commence full time schooling coupled with full time working and single parenting. I give up sleeping.
October 1998-January 2002: Complete more degrees than any sane person really needs. Got head on straight, found professional employment in the law enforcement field. Commence getting shot at and chased by dogs.
February 2002: Met J and pretty much knew that it was all over for me.
October 2004: Period of separation that was necessary as we each had to take care of ailing parents.
August 2005: My dad dies, his mom gets better, we pick up where we never really left off (Thank God for T-Mobile free nights and weekends!) We spend the next several years settling into becoming a family. Except one thing is missing...
July 2009: Married. Finally!
August 2009: Flush the BCP's down the drain. Let's have a baby!
December 2009: Decide to TTC. AF never shows up. Pregnant? Nope. Just no AF for months and months on end. Donated lots of blood for lots of test, everything is normal. Internal and external ultrasounds are normal.
August 2010: AF makes a joyous return. To this day no one can tell me why this happened. Commence baby making!
2011
March: Dr. appointment- short version: I'm getting old, best get on with it. I'm told to start charting (what's that?), told to check CM (excuse me?!?), and oh by the way, you have this thing called a cervix that also needs to be checked (yeah, right!). I left the appointment giggling to myself. After all, I was the woman who got knocked up through two different forms of BC!
April: Stubbornness ensues. We decide that all of the above mentioned isn't necessary and just take it naturally. Yeah right! BFN.
May: Begin charting and learning all about my CM and cervix, discover late ovulation and short LP (10 days). BFN
June: Added lots of vitamins and saw drastic improvement in O date and LP. BFN.
July: FF says I O'd, I don't believe it. Anovulatory. BFN.
August: Early in the month I met with a new OB/GYN, she diagnosed us with infertility for unknown reasons and referred us to an RE in November.
My August chart was the best chart yet. BD timing was the best it's ever been, everything looked great- right up until AF showed up. BFN.
September/October: Began the chart that would never end. On CD 45 I was finally graced with dotted crosshairs on CD 22. To date, I am still not pregnant and I have still not started. ARG!!
November: Canceled RE appointment because insurance wouldn't cover it. BFN
December: BFN
